GFA School Policies:
All communities function within a framework of agreed upon standards. While we understand it is the nature of homeschooling to follow the culture of the family, our standards of conduct exist to ensure an environment that best fosters learning for all students.
Our Purpose:
Grace Fellowship Academy purposes to merge the benefits of private, Christian schooling with homeschooling in order to provide students with the utmost academic and social advantage.
GFA operates under a hybrid model, meaning that we follow a schedule where students attend at-school days with teachers two or three days a week and learn at-home under their parents’ guidance the other alternate days.
This hybrid model is unique in many ways. One such way is that it gives parents the opportunity to be heavily involved in their children’s education without having the burden of finding curricula and writing lesson plans. Though parents do not bear those responsibilities in this school construct, we do expect them to function as co-teachers working in tandem with staff.
As such, parents wishing to educate their children in this hybrid system should be able to do the following:
• Maintain a clear schedule on home days that allows the day’s focus to be on school.
• Have basic proficiency in core subjects: math, language arts (to include reading, writing, and grammar), history, and science.
• Manage time appropriately in order to help students accomplish all assignments.
• Maintain communication with staff.
• Enhance the subjects being taught with your personal beliefs and viewpoints.
GFA does not take any stance in political viewpoints or specific Christian denominations, and it is expected for parents to do their part to fill-in with instruction of personal beliefs to give context for our school subjects.

Code of Conduct:
At Grace Fellowship Academy It is our desire to create an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, establishes a loving atmosphere, and provides community for each student.
To protect the culture and mission of Grace Fellowship Academy, we immediately address disruptive or disrespectful behavior with both the child and the parents. Disciplinary issues that require contacting the parent will be recorded by the GFA staff and director. After three such disciplinary actions, GFA will recommend the parents find another option for school community. At Grace Fellowship Academy we care for each child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We will faithfully address any issues that arise in the most biblical way possible. A GFA director will always be present during school hours as a resource to resolve conflict and assist teachers.
Cell phone use will not be allowed during school hours. If students choose to bring their phones to school, we will store them in a secure location and give them back at the end of the school day.
Our application process includes a meeting with each family, along with the potential student, to ensure all parties understand and wish to comply with the value system of Grace Fellowship Academy.
